抛开阿甘身上的善良、信守承诺等等优点，我最敬佩也最需要学习的就是他身上的实干精神。
阿甘一小人物却经历了那么多的历史大事，绝非偶然，他自己的实干精神起到很重要的作用。他可以一个人连续不断地大羽毛球，他可以从一个捕虾船做到一连串的捕虾船业，他可以一个人连续不断地奔跑3年多。
与他相比，我在这方面，确实欠缺的太多。我脑袋里总是想象着许多美好的事情，而那些美好的东西，仿佛我一睁开眼就离我好远。可是那些事情变成现实，我所要做的第一件事就是睁开眼。
说一件我最近的事。我想，放假的话，我差不多有3个月的假期，而这3个月，我一定不能浪费时间，得好好把握。第一个月，我可以慢慢地将学校里后续的事情都处理好，然后放松一下，可以出去玩玩，旅游啊。后两个月，我可以到家附近的超市去帮帮忙，一来可以先体验一下打工的生活，二来可以为父母减轻一点点负担，再者在超市帮忙一天只要工作6个小时，剩下的时间，我可以看看书、学点针线活、学点烹饪。再看看我这些计划都很有条理，完全可以是自己的生活变得很充实。不至于像现在这样，每天的作息完全乱了，每天都过得很空虚，每天都在浪费时间。
而且，我所想的、计划的都很符合现实。像这样一个计划，我却连一部都没有完成，我很羞愧。突然之间，觉得自己活得简直也是一种浪费。更痛苦的是，自己存在的问题，自己都明白，可就是解决不了。其实，是自己根本就没有踏出解决的第一步，说自己是解决不了，也实质是一种借口，是自己根本就没有解决的勇气，是自己胆怯。其实我就是一个懦夫。与阿甘比，我很惭愧。
